Special to The Answer

Blessed New Year! Blessed New You!  Well ladies, we did it again.  With the grace and mercy of our Almighty God, we made into 2010.  (Hallelujah!)

As 2009 drew to a celebrative close, I’m sure we all made some quiet promises and commitments to make necessary adjustments in our journey this year (i.e., lose 5 pounds, conquer debt, etc.)  However, in the life of the believer, this year invites us to a more significant responsibility.   The number ‘10’ denotes Divine Order.   The number ‘10’ represents our responsibility back to God.  I’m sure that if most of us take a few reflective moments to revisit the last 10 years, and if we’re honest, we’ve gotten some things right and the naked truth is, we thank the Lord for FRESH GRACE  in a lot of situations and circumstances. (Amen)

But right now let’s ask a question:  How many of us refuse to go through the same foolishness this year?  How many of us are tired of going through the motions only to receive the same results?  Is anyone tired of ‘churchology 101’?  I’m sorry, but high-fiving three people will not cause a financial blessing to fall your way!  Well dear readers, if you agree, then shout out with a voice of triumph -- This year, I will ‘FLIP THE SCRIPT!’
Now, we know that flipping the script simply means to turn things around, or to do some things with a different mind and heart.

Here is the Sisterhood Top 5 countdown list for this year:
#5   She will not spend time with deadbeat, go-nowhere do-nothing folks who drain her energy and make her wanna scream!
#4   She will not be stuck on stupid and dangling on dumb!  She will learn something new and profitable everyday.
#3   She will get over men who don’t know how to treat her like the true queen she is.
#2   She will not bounce checks.   And she certainly won’t bounce them at Church!  Sister, if you ain’t got it—don’t write it!
#1   She will yet praise God in every situation and circumstance; because she is a Woman of the Word and a Sister set free!

Look out 2010, we’re serving you notice, IT’S TIME TO FLIP THE SCRIPT!
Psalm 116:12 asks what shall we render/offer unto the Lord for all His benefits toward us? My beautiful sisters, let’s decide that in 2010 we will be FAITHFUL; TRUTHFUL and ACCOUNTABLE.  And most of all we will be THANKFUL.  Now go on – we can do it—IT’S TIME TO FLIP THE SCRIPT!
