Las Vegas’ Jack Yates land opening act

Renown gospel artist Kirk Franklin and brother and sister duo BeBe and CeCe Winans will appear in Las Vegas on the Experience tour on June 26, 2010 at 7:30 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
Produced by Taylor Massey Entertainment and Springle Entertainment Group, the concert will also feature special guests Warren Caldwell, Caribbean icon Toni Norville and Las Vegas’ own Jack Yates. Restorer of the Breach Pastor Ontiwaun Carter is also scheduled to make a special appearance.
Franklin, best known for his appeal to the youth, has gained even more popularity with his work on Sunday’s Best and his efforts amidst the recent earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After the 25th Stellar Awards held in Nashville, Tennessee, Franklin assembled numerous gospel artists in Nashville’s Quad Studios to lend their voices to “Are You Listening,” a song they developed to inspire those devastated as well as raise funds for Haiti. All proceeds from the record were donated to charities involved in relief efforts.

BeBe and CeCe Winans, among the artists included in the Haiti project, will also be featured in this month’s concert. This brother-sister duo carries a great lineage as members of the Gospel dynasty, The Winans.  Although they have had individual success, nothing compares to the magic that is sparked by their musical union. Since their last collaborative project, Relationships (1994), the multiple Grammy, Dove and Stellar-award winners continued to climb the charts individually.
However, the dynamic duo has heard the cries from their fans to return…together. After 15 years, the wait is over.  The two have wowed listeners everywhere with their new project - Still, featuring the chart-topping single, “Close to you.”
Yates, known for his jazz, neo-soul style of Gospel, is quickly rising on the musical charts of Las Vegas. While he can do it all, he maintains the traditional confines to reach that Sunday morning audience. Recently nominated for the En Sound Music Awards, Yates is ranked among the best in Las Vegas and is sure to provide a great opening to a powerful show.
